Term 1
Lines and Shapes
I believe that the photo of me standing on a stone path shows lines and shapes the best. I am closer to the flowers than I am to the grounds and my shoes because I held the camera near my waist when I took the photo. My point of view was from above when I took the photo. The perspective of the photo is looking down on whats below me. This photo was taken horizontally and it does follow the rule of thirds because there is nothing directly in the center of the photo. In the photo where I was standing on the brick path, your eyes are drawn to my bright white shows. Your eyes move from my shoes, to the bright flowers and to the ground.
Texture and Patterns |
My best photo that shows textures and patterns is the picture I took of the fire hydrant. I was relatively close to the fire hydrant when I took the photo. I took this photograph from above slightly tilted down and only captured the top half of the fire hydrant. I took this photo horizontally. This photograph does follow the rule of thirds because the specks of rust are off more to the right of the picture. The photograph shows texture in the rust and the paint chipping off the fire hydrant. The image also shows pattern in the lines of the hydrant.
